Body Language Expert Predicts Jennifer Lopez’s and Ben Affleck’s Future
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been weathering divorce rumors for most of the month it seems. After reading their actions, a body language expert tells Showbiz Cheat Sheet his own theories on Lopez’s and Affleck’s relationship status.

There have been a few reports painting a troubling picture of Lopez’s and Affleck’s marriage. These rumors swelled when Lopez attended the 2024 Met Gala without Affleck by her side. Affleck’s spokesperson confided that the actor’s absence was due to a scheduling conflict. However, that didn’t do too much to quell the rumors. In fact, the divorce conversation only intensified after reports hit that Affleck had moved out of his and Lopez’s house.
But as recently as two days ago, Lopez and Affleck were spotted out and about as close as ever. Affleck and Lopez were caught driving around Los Angeles, seemingly in good spirits.
Recent sightings of Lopez and Affleck being together only reaffirmed the belief that they were in a good place, according to body language expert Darren Stanton.
“Right off the bat, we’ve seen J.Lo and Ben Affleck out together. What I’ve noticed is they’re very comfortable in each other’s skin,” Stanton tells Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “They’ve been together in their relationship for a long time, both off and on. So therefore, what I’m looking for is how comfortable are these two in each other’s space. But as it happens, very comfortable,” he said.
Stanton highlighted the PDA Lopez and Affleck often still share in public when they’re together as a good sign.
“We often see them holding hands, J.Lo will have her arm tucked into Ben, her hands in his pockets. So, they’re very comfortable, and it shows they’ve been in this relationship for a very long time. And they’ve also got deep rapport, and they’re very much in love,” he said.
With that said, Stanton seems confident that Lopez and Affleck will be together for quite some time. As far as he’s concerned, there’s no divorce on the horizon.

What might also be a good sign was that Lopez was recently seen wearing her ring. The singer walked the red carpet for the premiere of her new Netflix movie Atlas. She arrived in style wearing a white crop top with no sleeves or straps and a long black mermaid skirt that swept across the floor when she moved.
Despite her elegant and majestic appearance, Lopez’s wedding ring drew all the attention as if it was the only thing she was wearing. She didn’t flash Affleck’s gift to the crowd, but many took the ring’s appearance as a subtle but loud declaration of her relationship status with Affleck.
However, there have been reports that Affleck still hasn’t been seen with his wedding ring. It was alleged that the accessory was missing when Affleck first allegedly moved out of his and Lopez’s home, too. The Daily Mail noted that Affleck was on a film set this time. With that in mind, Affleck not wearing his ring may also be due to something as simple as a production issue. But only time will tell if this sight will hold any significance.

Despite the PDAs of affection and unity, reports continue to trickle out about a few issues the couple might have. Very recently, a source for E.T. claimed that Affleck felt Lopez’s expectations might be too high. And as much as they cared about each other, these high expectations were a recurring problem in their relationship.
“Ben feels like Jen has a hard time feeling satisfied and that’s one of the issues they’re facing. Ben is one of the only people who feels comfortable enough to be honest and real with Jen. It’s part of why Jen loves him, but also why she’s upset with him,” the source said.
However, the source further asserted that this didn’t mean Affleck and Lopez were anywhere near renouncing their wedding vows.
“Ben and Jen are going through normal problems and nothing scandalous is going on,” the source added.
