Dovetail Woodworking Studio carries on the woodworking tradition that began in Racine in the 1800‘s, when wagons that traversed the prairies were built along with boats of all sizes that opened the Great Lakes to commerce.  This tradition includes hand-cutting dovetails for a tight, perfect fit, hand carving to restore an old piece or add a unique twist to a new one.  Restorations include but are not limited to furniture, picture frames, boats, decks and interior woodwork.  Dovetail has worked with not only individuals, but corporate and institutional clients as well.  Customers include: S.C. Johnson & Sons, Marquette University, In-Sink-Erator, the Johnson Foundation at Wingspread, The Prairie School, Brininstool & Lynch Architects and more.

Dovetail will bring the same attention to detail regardless of project size or complexity.
