Michael Ilesanmi is moving on. The 90 Day Fiancé cast member has apparently ended his relationship with his wife of four years, Angela Deem. What’s next for the TLC star? Here’s what we know about where Michael is today.

Michael Ilesanmi finally moved to the U.S.

Michael, who is from Nigeria, connected with Angela, who is from Georgia, online. Despite their 22-year age gap, the two began a relationship. They met for the first time in person in a 2018 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. In January 2020, they got married.

Even though Angela and Michael were husband and wife, they faced serious obstacles in their efforts to get a Michael a visa that would allow him to move to the U.S. The COVID-19 pandemic delayed the visa process and kept the couple apart for years.

The distance and the waiting took a toll on Angela and Michael’s relationship. In 2023, they appeared on 90 Day: The Last Resort in an effort to save their marriage. (Michael participated in the group couples retreat virtually.) While Angela seemed to be on the verge of filing for divorce, they ultimately decided to stay together.

In December 2023, nearly four years after he and Angela said I do, Michael finally received his spousal visa and arrived in the United States.

Angela and Michael’s relationship quickly fell apart

Unfortunately, it wasn’t happily ever after for Angela and Michael. In February 2024, Angela took to social media to report that Michael had disappeared. At first, she was concerned for his safety. But once it emerged that Michael had vanished voluntarily and wanted nothing to do with his wife, her attitude changed. She accused him of being a scammer who was only using her to get a visa.

Michael didn’t immediately weigh in on the controversy. But in early May, he resurfaced on Instagram and TikTok

“Peace is more than the absence of war,” he captioned his first Instagram post.

Since then, Michael has continued to post occasionally on social media, including selfies where he is noticeably not wearing a wedding ring. But he has not shared any updates about where he has been living since he fled Angela’s home. Instead, he’s tagged his location as “Somewhere.”

Meanwhile, Angela has continued to vent her frustration over Michael’s actions. In a May 26 Instagram post, she hinted that she planned to report her husband to the Department of Homeland Security, presumably for visa fraud.

“TRUTH WILL BE SEEN,” she wrote in a May 20 post. “BUT HEY SOME OF YOU WILL STILL APPLAUD THE EVILNESS.”
