Neither of Gerry Turner’s ‘The Golden Bachelor’ Runners-up Would Date Him Again
If Gerry Turner hoped to turn to Bachelor Nation for his next great romance, he should probably steer clear of his The Golden Bachelor runners-up. Since he announced his divorce from Theresa Nist, fans have been waiting to see if he will debut a new romance. If he eventually introduces the world to a new lady, it won’t be Faith Martin or Leslie Fhima, the runners-up on his season of The Golden Bachelor. They have said they would never consider dating him now.
Faith Martin wouldn’t date Gerry Turner again
Faith Martin, The Golden Bachelor’s second runner-up, recently appeared on Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour to discuss her time on the series and what will come in The Golden Bachelorette. Martin also discussed her romance with Turner and how she feels about her old flame now. She said that while she feels “bonded” to Turner, she has absolutely no desire to date him now that his marriage to Theresa Nist has ended.
Martin explained that while she loved spending time with Turner, she no longer thought they were a good match despite having plenty in common. She pointed out that Turner’s analytical nature probably wouldn’t be a good long-term fit with her own personality. The second runner-up noted that she leads with her emotions, while Turner does not.
Martin has yet to debut a new boyfriend since being sent home on the show. Still, she’s hopeful she’ll find love again. Martin even teased a major flirtation she has going on at the moment. She refused to name the man who had caught her eye, though.
Leslie Fhima has no interest in rekindling things with Gerry, either
Faith Martin isn’t the only The Golden Bachelor castoff who wouldn’t reconnect with Turner if given the opportunity. The Golden Bachelor runner-up, Leslie Fhima, also has no desire to rekindle things with Turner.
Fhima has been extremely outspoken about her feelings after Turner broke up with her in the season finale. She has suggested she doesn’t respect Turner. She even alluded to some underhandedness in the series. Fhima claimed that Turner purposefully kept information about his connection to Nist a secret from her during the competition.
Fhima appeared hurt and angry at Turner months after the season finale, and she hasn’t softened to him. In several interviews, Fhima noted there was no chance of her reconnecting with Turner now that he is divorcing Nist. She said she was no one’s second choice and recognized that their relationship wouldn’t have worked long-term.
It sounds like Turner is on his own to find a date. Still, fans will have plenty of golden drama to watch soon enough. Fans can tune in to The Golden Bachelorette in the fall. Joan Vassos will appear as the first-ever golden bachelorette.
