Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s Prison Pal Says Blanchard Lied to Kim Kardashian
Gypsy Rose Blanchard has had a whirlwind year, from announcing a pregnancy to appearing on The Kardashians. Not everyone who once supported the convicted felon is still on her side. Blanchard’s marriage fell apart just months after she left prison, and social media followers have largely questioned Blanchard’s intentions and the validity of many of her claims. Now, someone who spent time with Blanchard in prison is calling her out for her recent appearance on The Kardashians.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s former prison pal calls her out for lying on ‘The Kardashians’
Last month, Gypsy Rose Blanchard reached an even wider audience when she appeared on The Kardashians to discuss prison reform with Kim Kardashian. While Blanchard has been using her celebrity status to launch an influencer career and garner more screen time, not everyone is buying into what the ex-convict is selling. Social media followers have spent months giving Blanchard the side eye, and now people who once knew her are stepping forward, too.
According to Ok! Magazine, a former inmate who was friends with Blanchard took to social media to call out the TV personality for a lie she reportedly told Kim Kardashian. Rachell Garlick took to social media to reveal that Blanchard lied when she said she was denied access to mental health care while behind bars.
Garlick said that the prison where they were both held offered mental health services and that inmates only needed to ask to be referred. She went on to say that Blanchard wasn’t denied anything. Rather, she argues, Blanchard turned down care. Garlick said Blanchard claimed she did not need mental health services.
In a follow-up TikTok video, Garlick claims Blanchard is now going after her for calling her out on the lie. She said she’s stayed quiet about a lot and would have no reason to lie at this point. Garlick and Blanchard met when they were both inmates at Chillicothe Correctional Center. Garlick was released before Blanchard, although it’s unclear what crimes she served time for.
Rachell Garlick once fully supported her friend; she claims the ex-convict has changed
Before Gypsy Rose Blanchard was released from prison, Rachell Garlick gave the abuse victim her full support. In 2021, she made a series of TikTok videos defending Blanchard, insisting they had been close friends while in prison.
Their friendship appeared to fall apart around the time Blanchard was released from Chillicothe Correctional Center. Garlick revealed that she and Blanchard were no longer on speaking terms but did not elaborate further. She has, however, used her TikTok platform to address her former friend on more than one occasion. Blachard’s recent appearance on The Kardashians has struck a nerve.
