‘Young Sheldon’ Star Montana Jordan Just Became a Real-Life Dad
Life imitates art! Young Sheldon star Montana Jordan has gone from playing a young father on TV to becoming a father in real life.
Montana Jordan welcomes daughter with Jenna Weeks
Just a few days after Young Sheldon wrapped up its seventh and final season, Jordan, 21, took to Instagram to share some major news. He and his girlfriend, Jenna Weeks, were now proud parents to a daughter. Emma Rae Jordan was born May 21.
“God has blessed me with a beautiful babygirl. Emma Rae Jordan, Momma and Daddy love you. Forever and always,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself cradling the little one.
Jordan portrayed Sheldon Cooper’s older brother Georgie Cooper on The Big Bang Theory prequel series. In season 6, Georgie, 17, and his girlfriend Mandy welcomed a baby named Constance. The couple married in season 7. Their story will continue in the upcoming spinoff, Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage, which will premiere this fall on CBS.
Jordan and Weeks have kept their romance relatively low-key, though they appear to have been dating since at least late 2021. The couple announced that they were expecting in a joint Instagram update in January 2024.
“You are so loved already little girl —- I can only hope that you share the best parts of both me and your dad!” Weeks wrote. “I hope you get his big heart and contagious laugh! In a world that is so uncertain, there is one thing that is, your dad and I love you endlessly and unconditionally, we will do our best to raise you in the eyes of the Lord.”
The ‘Young Sheldon’ cast congratulates Montana Jordan
After Jordan shared his happy news, congratulations quickly poured in, including from several of his Young Sheldon co-stars.
“I can’t wait to meet her!! I’ve always wanted to be an uncle!! So happy for you!! Congratulations,” wrote Iain Armitage, who played Sheldon.
“So so happy for you and Jenna and can’t wait to meet my niece!” commented Raegan Revord, who played Georgie and Sheldon’s sister Missy Cooper.
“Beauuuuutiful! Congrats Jenna and Montana!” wrote Will Sasso, who portrayed Mandy’s father Jim McCallister on the CBS sitcom. Jordan’s on-screen mother-in-law Rachel Bay Jones, who played Audrey McCallister, congratulated her co-star as well.
Melissa Peterman, who plays the Cooper’s next-door neighbor Brenda Sparks, also chimed in with well wishes. “Congratulations @montanajordan so happy for you and @jennacweeks Welcome to world Emma Rae!!” she wrote.
Jerry O’Connell, who played an older Georgie on The Big Bang Theory, celebrated the news, commenting “Congrats Papa!”
The Young Sheldon Instagram account shared Montana’s update on its Instagram Story, writing: “From on-screen dad to IRL dad. Congratulations.”
