’90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?’: Kobe Blaise Calls Out Angela Deem for Disrespecting Michael Ilesanmi

One 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? cast member has had with Angela Deem. During the August 18 episode of the season 8 tell-all, Kobe Blaise called out Angela for her rude and demeaning behavior toward her husband, Michael Ilesanmi.

In the previous episode of the 90 Day tell-all, Todd, a PI hired by Angela, delivered his verdict on whether Michael was scamming her. He said he’d found no evidence that Michael was being dishonest.

Angela wasn’t convinced. She stormed out of the taping, swearing that the investigator hadn’t had enough time to dig up the real dirt on her husband. Meanwhile, an exhausted-looking Michael admitted that Angela’s volatile behavior and constant meltdowns were negatively affecting his mental health.

Angela and Michael did not spend the night at the shared house with the rest of the Happily Ever After? couples and arrived late for the next tell-all taping.

After Angela took her seat on set, she tried to cast herself as the victim.

“It’s very hard for me, Shaun. I’m not a crier but I’m at a point where I’m broken,” Angela said to host Shaun Robinson. She said she returned because she realized she wanted to be there to support the other female cast members. But Kobe, who was sitting next to his wife, Emily Bieberly, was sick of Angela’s antics.

“Angela, you’ve always disrespected your husband in public,” Kobe said. “Every single place. To the level where even a fly cannot respect him.”

Angela told Kobe she wasn’t interested in his opinions. Then, she immediately turned on Michael.

“See how you’re not taking up for me? Tell him to hush,” she said.

But Kobe was not going to be silent.

“I’m not going to sit here and act like this is not something that has been going on and on,” Kobe said, as several other cast members nodded along.

Michael tried to assure Kobe that everything was fine as Angela became increasingly irate. Eventually, everyone moved on to a discussion of Ashley Michelle and Manuel Velez’s relationship.

But the tension between Angela and Kobe is still simmering below the surface. In a preview for the August 25 tell-all finale, Kobe approaches Michael backstage to offer some advice.

“Michael, your wife keeps saying, ‘Give me my visa,’” he says. “That’s your personal document.”

Angela then lashes out at Kobe, telling him to shut his mouth. Kobe tells Michael he’s just trying to educate him about his rights. Angela seems ready to physically attack Kobe as Michael steps between them.

Since filming the tell-all, Angela and Michael have separated. She recently filed for an annulment of her four-year marriage, claiming that Michael “fraudulently” wed her as part of a plot to get a green card.

Entertainer Asked to Perform for the Sussexes in Colombia Had 1 Question: ‘Who Is Meghan?’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have wrapped up their four-day visit in Colombia. While the purpose of the trip was to “promote mental health for young people and raise awareness about cyberbullying” many have questions about the trip.

Several locals claimed the prince and former Suits actor were only seen at their functions and had extreme security measures in place including an army of security with police, Black Hawk helicopters, and “ballistic briefcases.”

Here’s more on that and why some believe the security was excessive considering that many Colombians including an entertainer asked to perform had no idea who Harry’s wife was.

Local says Prince Harry and Meghan ‘move like ghosts’

Several reports noted that the duke and duchess were “intensely guarded” by “very tight security details.” The former working royals were heavily protected as they moved from the country’s capital, Bogota, to the town of Cartagena, where an army of over 3,000 police officers awaited their arrival. The massive security presence that included drones, helicopters flying overhead, and a nuclear attack response unit continued with their trip to the town of San Basilio de Palenque and the other areas they visited.

In addition, armed personnel swept each location on the duo’s itinerary before their arrival and had snipers stationed on the rooftops.

Arturo, a waiter in Avenida Jimenez de Quesada, explained to the Daily Mail that he had heard the Sussexes were visiting, but locals haven’t caught a glimpse of them.

He said: “It’s very strange, they move like ghosts. Tell me what they look like if you catch them!”

A local journalist told The Telegraph that they actually thought the visit was a deliberate distraction from the more pressing issues facing the country saying: “People are expecting the government to address these issues rather than focus on a high-profile event with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Although addressing and confronting cyberbullying in children is an important issue, it is not the most pressing problem we face.”

There were also plenty of concerns about who was going to pay for the visit and all the security that came with it. Will that be the Colombian government, its residents, or both?

Anthony Cawdron, a former royal butler who served at Blenheim Palace, told Daily Express US: “I think each of these trips that they take seems to have the effect that people question them more. They are putting a burden on a country that may have a limited amount of methods of keeping them safe.”

Entertainer wanted to know who Meghan Markle was ahead of performance

Royal commentator and To Di for Daily podcast host Kinsey Schofield spoke about the Sussexes’ visit to Colombia. She opined that it was almost ironic the pair had so much security and tied up that many police resources because some people in the South American country didn’t even know who Meghan was.

During an appearance on Talk TV, Schofield quoted a report that said the duke and duchess had 3,000 police snipers and a bio-terror van that followed them “despite barely anyone turning up to see them. It was similar to a presidential presence with 14 cars and police convoy. There were black helicopters [and] circling drones in the sky flying above their events.”

Schofield added: “One of the VIPs selected to perform for them said ‘Who is Meghan?’ So even the people who were selected to entertain them had no clue who they were.”

And according to The Independent, another Colombian performer had the same question. Justo Valdés is a singer from San Basilio de Palenque, a town formed by African slaves who escaped Spanish rulers 400 years ago. Before the Sussexes made a stop there, he also asked: “Who’s Meghan?”

The future of The Real Housewives of New Jersey remains in limbo. Season 14 ended with what Andy Cohen described as a season final. Fans feel certain that the series, as they know it, is over. Dolores Catania’s ex-husband, Frank Catania, claims those rumors are credible. He recently suggested that Teresa Giudice has been asked to step down from the show after she refused to film with her castmates.

Frank Catania appeared on The Lisa Alastuey Podcast earlier this month and shared some insider information. According to Catania, The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans won’t see Teresa Giudice again, at least not on the series. Catania claims the only remaining original RHONJ cast member has been asked to exit the show voluntarily.

If that’s the case, Giudice didn’t get the memo until recently. As recently as July, Giudice told the world that she had no plans to leave the series. During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, Giudice said that she would stay on to see the series through unless Bravo fired her.

She seemed confident at the time that Bravo would retain her for the series, but that may have changed. Giudice seemed much less optimistic about her staying power when The Daily Mail caught up with her in August. When asked about the series, she said she would just wait to see what Bravo had planned for her. Fans quickly noted that her body language seemed a bit tense and awkward.

Catania might have heard the rumors, but he doesn’t necessarily agree with the decision if they turn out to be true. Catania said Giudice is the world’s most “recognizable” housewife and claims it would be a shame for her to leave RHONJ. He did seem to place much of the blame squarely on Giudice’s new husband, Luis Ruelas.

When did she join the cast?

If Teresa Giudice does leave the series, it would be the end of an era. The mother of four is the show’s only remaining original cast member. She first appeared in the show’s pilot episode in 2009. The original cast included Giudice, Dina Cantin, Caroline Manzo, Danielle Staub, and Jacqueline Laurita. Staub departed the series after season 2. Cantin left after season 2 as well; she returned for an additional season in season 6.

Manzo and Laurita left the series after season 5. Laurita returned in season 7 before leaving for good. The newest cast members, Rachel Fuda and Danielle Cabral joined the cast for season 13. It is unclear who, if anyone, from the current cast, will return for season 15. A complete “refresh” isn’t out of the question.

Paul can afford such extravagant purchases thanks to his $34 million net worth, reports Forbes. With many irons in the fire, including Paul’s W body care line, he’s got the money. According to GetW.com, Paul’s W line features “everyday body care for the win.” Available at Walmart, W’s deodorant, body wash, soap, body spray, and hair products are infused with vitamin B, vitamin E, magnesium, and biotin.

Paul’s necklace made its most recent appearance at NYC’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on August 18. The pro boxer faced off against Mike Tyson as they promoted their November 15 fight. Paul and Tyson nearly came to blows as Iron Mike landed a left punch on the Youtuber’s chest. Boxing fans eagerly anticipate their late-fall match. Dolly Parton has charmed many reporters over the course of her career. The singer is professional, full of stories, and quick to crack a joke, making her a solid interview subject. While Parton said she generally values her relationship with the press, there are certain interviews that have bothered her. One reporter made her particularly angry with just a sentence.

As Parton’s fan base grew throughout the 1970s, she gave more interviews to sources outside the country music sphere in Nashville. Some reporters, upon hearing her accent, tried to stylize it in the text of the interview. Parton couldn’t stand seeing this.

“A horrendous writer in Green Bay tried to write a negative piece, but it didn’t come off,” reporter Dave Hershey said in the book Dolly by Alanna Nash. “The woman quoted Dolly as saying ‘Ah’ for ‘I,’ and Dolly got a little rankled at that. She said, ‘She tried to make me sound like a country bumpkin.’”

There was another part of the article that angered Parton even more. It affected her for the rest of the day.

“But there was a line in the story that really angered her,” Hershey said. “The woman wrote, ‘Dolly Parton is so sweet you’d almost hope she had a cocaine stash somewhere.’ My wife showed the piece to her, and she was livid for the rest of the day. This was nothing except a woman trying to be clever at Dolly’s expense, but Dolly said, ‘This is the nastiest thing anybody’s written about me in quite a while.’ The day after, she seemed really down and wouldn’t do any interviews — just the fact that it was not a rave.”

She knew the value of a good interview

Hershey said he could tell that Parton knew exactly how valuable interviews were to her career.

“What’s amazing to me is that she knows every magazine in the country and what they mean to her,” he said. “Our circulation is three million, and I got a two hour interview.”

Hershey’s wife worked for a magazine with a larger audience. Parton gave her a more extensive interview because she wanted to reach those readers.

“My wife is a senior editor at Family Circle, and its circulation is nine million,” Hershey said. “She got a four-hour interview. Dolly knows Family Circle is the heartland, she’s got her hard-core fans out there.”

Because both Hershey and his wife interviewed Parton, he was able to clearly see the way she recycled anecdotes with different outlets. This was a bit frustrating for him.

“Dolly knew we were married, or maybe she forgot, but she knew we were traveling together, and she repeated the same anecdotes to us as if they were fresh,” Hershey said. “She’s really got the lines down. That’s what disturbs me more than anything. I went out there, thought I got really good stuff, and then came back and read the clips and got a little depressed, because most of the anecdotes were in the clips.”

He said he was thrilled to have gotten one line that seemed new, only to realize Parton said it to Nash a year prior.

“She gave me one great quote — she said, ‘I can’t run or jog, ‘cause I’d black both my eyes,’ and my friend at Rolling Stone who does Random Notes was all excited about it,” Hershey recalled. “He said, ‘Jesus, what a great quote. Can I have it?’ I said, ‘No, it’s one of the few things I have that I haven’t read in the clips.’ And then I found out she’d given it to you a year and a half ago. I was sick. She’s got like twenty lines that she just keeps trotting out every so often, and it’s very calculated. Occasionally, she’ll slip and give you something different, but very rarely.”

As a result, Hershey came to view Parton’s public image as a calculated act.

In 1997, Jennifer Lopez and Sean Penn starred in U-Turn, an Oliver Stone thriller. Lopez expressed her pride at working with an actor of Penn’s caliber and said they got along well on set. So well, in fact, that she might have pursued a romantic connection with him had they not been in other relationships.

“Should I get myself in trouble with my husband?” she asked Movieline in 1998. “OK, in a parallel universe, Sean.”

She said that she and Penn even discussed this on set. She believed they would have had a very different experience working together if they had both been single.

“I was engaged when we were shooting U-Turn, and one day he said, ‘If I weren’t married and you weren’t engaged, would this have been a very different movie?’ And I go, ‘Yeah! Very different,’” she recalled. “So we kind of … well, we both had our own lives, so that made a real difference.”

Lopez said she was proud to work with someone like Penn. She believed that he respected her too.

“He has a lot of strength and we got along great, actually,” she said. “He could tell right away I wasn’t intimidated to be there with him and Oliver.”

She said that working on U-Turn felt like a major accomplishment because of the talent of her co-stars.

“Working with Sean and Nick Nolte, too, who is a truly amazing, great actor whom I respect so much — that was top of the line,” she said. “I could never work with better actors.”

Though Lopez felt proud to have worked on the film with these actors, U-Turn received tepid reviews, even landing on some worst-of-the-year lists.

She spoke dismissively about his ex-wife

In the same interview in which Lopez spoke glowingly about Penn, she shared some dismissive remarks about his ex-wife, Madonna. Penn and Madonna were married between 1985 and 1989. Lopez said that while she could admire her as a performer, she found it vaguely insulting that Madonna would call herself an actor.

“Do I think she’s a great performer? Yeah. Do I think she’s a great actress? No,” Lopez said. “Acting is what I do, so I’m harder on people when they say, ‘Oh, I can do that — I can act.’ I’m like, ‘Hey, don’t spit on my craft.'”

Her comments about Madonna and some of her other contemporaries, like Salma Hayek and Gwyneth Paltrow, generated some controversy. Lopez insisted that her remarks had been taken out of context.

These 1970s Horror Movies Paved the Way for ‘Alien’

Alien is one of the most beloved classic horror movies and no classic comes out of thin air. The film was the culmination of two horror trends from the 1970s. One of these trends was retro at the time but the other was very modern.

‘Alien’ was a response to horror films from the 1950s

Science fiction and horror have been soulmates since Mary Shelley published Frankenstein in 1818. While science fiction can help us understand how new technologies could change the world, horror can show us what happens when those technologies go wrong — whether they be nuclear energy, androids, or space travel. The dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II caused lots of anxiety over new innovations, paving the way for a boom in science fiction horror films during the 1950s.

Most of these films were creature features, such as Robot Monster, Creature from the Black Lagoon, and 20 Million Miles to Earth. While Ed Wood and Mystery Science Theater 3000 give the genre a bad reputation, some 1950s monster movies are pretty good and even have good special effects for the time period. While monster movies mostly fizzled out by the beginning of the 1960s, every 20 years, old trends come back into style. It was inevitable that someone would find a way to make the genre work for the 1970s. However, that task proved harder than it might seem.

The 1970s gave us a lot of science fiction creature features, most of which were terrible, such as Zaat, Octaman, and Night of the Lepus. Clearly, the industry was trying to bring back the 1950s monster movie, these films just didn’t have enough talent or money behind them. When 20th Century Fox gave Alien a real budget and the directorial chops of Ridley Scott, they were helping fill a nostalgic need for a quality answer to the monster movies of yore.

The movie was also the culmination of several slasher films

Another trend underway in the 1970s was slasher films. While the genre dates back a long way, it started to become popular again thanks to the success of films like Black Christmas, Suspiria, and John Carpenter’s Halloween. These films all focus on a group of people getting killed off one by one as tension mounts before a dramatic final showdown between the heroine and the killer(s).

While Alien’s space-bound trappings often preclude it from being considered a slasher film, it follows the genre’s formula to a tee. Whether you were a fan of old-school monster movies or hip slashers, Alien had a lot to offer you.

‘Alien’ movies still resonate

The Alien franchise is still going strong 45 years later with the release of Alien: Romulus. Box Office Mojo reports the film has earned over $108 million thus far. That’s interesting considering that the monster and slasher booms of the 1970s are far behind us. What could explain continued interest in the series?

As long as human contact with extraterrestrial life seems like a remote possibility, aliens will be scary. They fill us with both wonder and fear. Until we all have friends from another planet, films like Alien: Romulus will be around to exploit our morbid fascination with the otherworldy.

’Love Island USA’ Pleas for Fans to ‘Keep It Kind’ Ahead of Dramatic Season 6 Reunion

Love Island USA is urging fans to stay calm and be mindful ahead of the show’s season 6 reunion, which drops August 19 on Peacock.

The popular reality show took to social media with a plea for civility ahead of what is rumored to be a high-drama reunion for the cast. The message came after one cast member spoke out about feeling “exhausted” by the experience of appearing on the dating show.

Last week, the Love Island USA Season 6 cast descended on New York City to film the reunion. Around the same time, rumors began to circulate that there would be no shortage of drama when the islanders came together on stage. Meanwhile, some cast members took to social media to speak out about their relationships and online bullying.

Now, the show appears to be trying to get ahead of a potential social media firestorm with a message reminding viewers that the cast members are real people.

“Big love to everyone who joined us in Fiji this summer!” read a statement the show shared on Instagram on August 19. “The Season 6 reunion drops tonight on Peacock, and we’re buzzing to bring our Islanders back together.”

“The reunion is full of drama, but remember — these are real people, so let’s keep it kind and positive,” the statement continued. “Let’s end the season with the same love and respect we started with!”

The Love Island USA Season 6 reunion will be available to stream on Monday, August 9 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Peacock.

Leah Kateb, Daniela Ortiz Rivera speak out about mental health ahead of the reunion

Since appearing on the show, several islanders have spoken out about mental health and cyberbullying.

Leah Kateb commented on a TikTok video that reposted a clip of Love Island USA host Ariana Madix teasing that the reunion would address Rob Rausch’s dumping of Andrea Carmona.

“No ‘blow up’ happened at the reunion,” Leah wrote (via People). “Y’all make any n everything up. I’m exhausted mentally physically and spiritually from this entire experience. I’m tired. I told them I am DONE after reunion.”

Meanwhile, Daniela Ortiz Rivera posted a TikTok video where she spoke about suicide awareness and reminded people that “bullying is not a joke.”

“At the end of the day, these people aren’t characters,” she said. “They’re real people with real feelings … Multiple people are going through this and it break my heart.”

‘Love Island (UK)’ cast members have died by suicide

The Love Island franchise has a history of cast members struggling with their mental health after appearing on the show. Multiple people involved with the original U.K. version of the reality dating show have died by suicide.

Sophie Gradon, a former Miss Great Britain who appeared on Love Island in 2016, died in June 2018. Season 3 cast member Mike Thalassitis died in March 2019. In February 2020, Love Island host Caroline Flack died amid legal problems and allegations that she’d abused her boyfriend. A 2021 Variety report noted that none of the deaths appeared to be directly connected to the show, but they still raised concerns that cast member’s mental health was not adequately prioritized.

Before her death, Gradon spoke about being on the receiving end of vicious online hate.

“It was horrific … There would be so many negative comments,” she told Radio Aire (via Fox News). “They are commenting on the way you look, the way you talk. They would come up with an opinion of you on a TV show where they’ve watched you for 45 minutes.”

She warned that the bullying could lead someone to suicide.

“And as you’ve seen in the media, that is what happens,” she said. “Can you imagine being responsible for that?”

‘The Bachelorette’ Season 21 spoilers: Who goes home during hometowns week?

The Bachelorette Season 21 hometowns are here, and Jenn Tran meets the families of her final four men. So far, she’s made strong connections with Jeremy Simon, Marcus Schoberg, Jonathon Johnson, and Devin Strader.

According to spoilers from Reality Steve, Jenn heads to Tacoma, Washington, to have her hometown date with Marcus. They visit Titlow Beach. “A little backstory: Marcus lived in the Seattle area after the army,” Reality Steve wrote on X. “A lot of his army friends currently still live there. He does not have a great relationship with his parents, who don’t live in Washington. So, my guess is that’s why his hometown is being filmed there.”

Jenn had her second hometown date with Jeremy in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Her third hometown date was with Devin in Houston, Texas. Devin brought Jenn on a run with his running club. The couple starts their date at Buffalo Bayou Park.

Finally, Jenn has her last hometown date with Jonathon Johnson in San Diego, California.

So, who does Jenn send home? According to The Bachelorette spoilers, Jenn doesn’t give Jeremy a rose. She takes Jonathon, Devin, and Marcus to Hawaii for overnight dates.

Jenn Tran says she feels ‘conflicted’ during hometowns week

The Bachelorette Season 21 hometowns aren’t easy for Jenn Tran. Meeting her contestants’ families puts a lot of pressure on her to feel secure in her decisions moving forward. During a teaser posted to Instagram, she expresses how she feels “conflicted.”

“It’s hometowns week, and I feel conflicted,” Jenn says. By the end of the clip, she admits that choosing her final three men is one of the “hardest” decisions she’s had to make.

Another clip shows Jenn meeting Jonathon’s family. While Jonathon’s family is happy to meet Jenn, they have reservations due to Jonathon’s last relationship, which turned toxic and unhealthy. His brother expresses his concerns to the camera.

“I want to be protective of Jon,” Jonathon’s brother tells Jenn during a private conversation. She tells him she understands his stance.

“Jonathon’s brother gets emotional with me,” she says. “I can only hope that they see what I see between the two of us.”

A separate clip shows Jenn meeting Jeremy’s family. Jeremy’s mom says that when Jenn described what she wanted in a man, it didn’t exactly describe Jeremy. His mom also questions whether Jeremy knows Jenn “well enough” for an engagement.

“I’m skeptical because I don’t know that they really discussed the road ahead,” his mom says.

Jenn Tran meets Marcus Shoberg and Devin Strader’s families during The Bachelorette Season 21 hometown week, and both men move on to the final three, according to spoilers. Unfortunately, fans on Reddit uncovered allegations and controversies against these men.

Fans noted that Devin made hip-hop music with racist language. He also “liked” right-wing content on social media. When called out, he unliked his past posts and covered his tracks by “liking” left-leaning content.

As for Marcus, Reddit users alleged that several women came forward with allegations suggesting he harmed and abused them. The women making the allegations were allegedly verified on the platform. It’s unclear if Bachelorette producers have been notified or if the show will address the allegations during the Men Tell All or After the Final Rose specials.

When Jennifer Lopez was a rising star in Hollywood, she spoke of her eagerness to get her hands on any kind of role. She saw herself as one of the better actors of the era and said she was willing to work hard to prove this. She also didn’t mind taking roles that other people wanted. Lopez said she got a part that would have gone to Sandra Bullock because she was willing to do more for it.

Throughout the 1990s, Lopez’s star continued to rise, making her one of the biggest names in Hollywood. She said she would never coast on her success, no matter how big she became. She was willing to take parts from anyone who wasn’t as relentless.

“I have this attitude — and it won’t change no matter how big I get — that you have to fight for things you want,” Lopez told Movieline when discussing how she got her part in Out of Sight. “You can’t expect things to be handed to you on a platter, even if you can fill theaters week in and week out. Because there’s always somebody like me ready to kick down the door and steal the job right out from under you.”

The person she stole the job from was Bullock. George Clooney, who starred in the film, wanted to screen test with his potential co-star. Bullock refused, giving Lopez space to take the part.

“One of the smart things George did was to screen-test everybody because he knew he’d had trouble with the women in his movies, where maybe there wasn’t as much chemistry as there could have been,” Lopez explained. “Universal was pushing for Sandra Bullock because they said she’d put people in seats. George and the director met with her, but they were like, ‘If Sandra really wants it, she’s gonna have to test for it.’ She wouldn’t test, and her agent, who is also my agent, supported that. If I was Sandy, I’d say, ‘Well, I’m gonna show them that I can do it. I’ll read with them, make them offer me the part, then make them pay out the a**.’”

She said she also had to fight for higher pay in the film

Lopez didn’t stop advocating for herself, even after she officially landed the part. She said she had to work hard for a paycheck she felt was acceptable, even if it was far less than what Clooney received.

“I think George Clooney’s getting $10 million for this movie. [Universal] thought they were going to get me cheap from the beginning, but I kept telling my agent, ‘No, no, no! Keep asking!’” she said. “When my agent called me saying, ‘What should we say to them?’ I said, ‘Say, Who’s going to break their a** to promote this movie while George is on ER? Say, Anaconda is now over $100 million worldwide and why do you think girls between 18 and 25 went to see it more than any other action movies — because of Ice Cube?’”

She said she wouldn’t let up until industry higher-ups paid her what she deserved.

“I don’t take it personally, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to fight for what I feel,” she said. “We are looking at the long run, they’re not. Eventually, they’re going to pay. People don’t believe it yet, but right now I’m very underpaid.”

Jennifer Lopez believed she could do nearly any kind of role

Lopez said that part of the reason for her success was her fearlessness. She was willing to fight for parts and take on roles that others might shy away from.

“I’m the best,” Lopez said. “I feel I can do anything — any kind of role. I’m fearless.”

She said her confidence never wavered.

“I work really hard,” she said. “I’ll just get better as I go along because I’m open to getting better. If you have the goods, there’s nothing to be afraid of. If somebody doesn’t have the goods, they’re insecure. I don’t have that problem. I’m not the best actress that ever lived, but I know I’m pretty good.”
