The Kardashian family goes way back with the Simpson family. Robert Kardashian Sr., the father of Khloé, Kourtney, Kim, and Rob Kardashian, knew O.J. Simpson through college, where the two became fast friends. Kris Jenner also became friendly with O.J., befriending his then-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson.

When Nicole was murdered, Robert represented Simpson in the double-murder trial while Jenner sat on Nicole’s side of the courtroom, believing that O.J. was guilty.

Kim and Khloé Kardashian reflected on the division in their family while speaking to Howard Stern. Khloé also mentioned that she became good friends with Sydney Brooke Simpson, O.J. and Nicole’s oldest child. Kim explained that she and O.J.’s family would vacation in Cabo together yearly, so they all became close.

“I was actually best friends with Sydney Simpson, their daughter,” Khloé said.

Stern asked Khloé if she kept in touch with Sydney through the years. “No,” Khloé said. “I heard she’s doing really well. She moved and went to college, I think, in Boston.”

“We speak to her brothers, her two brothers,” Kim said.

“Is anyone in touch with her, like friends from the past?” Stern asked.

Caitlyn discussed Simpson’s trial on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here in 2019, according to E! News. She explained that the Kardashian kids were following the trial closely. “They’d been following this for a year and a half, and when they walked in the door, I think it was Kourtney who said, ‘Well, I told you he didn’t do it,'” Caitlyn remembered. “And I just said to the girls, ‘Just because he got a ‘not guilty’ didn’t mean he didn’t do it, and I don’t want his name ever mentioned in this house again.'”

Recently, Kim Kardashian caused a stir by posting about Easter dinner, as she seemingly tried to conceal Chalamet’s identity.

While fans speculate on the Kardashian-Jenner family’s love lives, Kylie Jenner caused a frenzy when she was seen publicly kissing Dune star Timothée Chalamet at the end of 2023.

So, where do Jenner and Chalamet stand now? Fans suspect they’re still very much together, as Kim Kardashian seemed to conceal Chalamet’s name tag at Easter dinner.

Kardashian posted a clip to her Instagram Stories showing the beautiful table set for Easter. The table included bouquets of bright spring flowers, moss, and nests of dyed eggs next to each table setting. Each table setting also included name tags.

“Yes, this table is … seriously, how cute are all the little details?” Kardashian commented in the clip as her camera showed the tablescape. Fans on Reddit noticed that Kardashian appeared to blur out one of the names on a name tag that seems to be Chalamet’s.

“Kim should’ve filmed the other side,” a fan wrote. “Blurring out his name made it obvious that it’s him.”

“Blurring out Timothée is so funny, I can’t,” another fan wrote.

While some fans wondered if Travis Scott sat next to Jenner, others pointed out that Scott spent the holiday in a different state.

“It’s not Khloe (she’s on the other side); it’s not Travis (he’s in NYC); it’s not Stassi [Karanikolaou]; she came Wednesday and left early Saturday and went back to her own family for Easter in LA,” another fan wrote. “It’s 100% Timothée because why else would they blur out someone’s name that’s sitting beside Kylie?”

“Come on, people,” a fan wrote on Reddit. “Kim did that totally on purpose. It’s part of the game. Look how much attention they’ve gotten for it?”

Additional sources claimed Bumble dating app billionaire Whitney Wolfe was also on the trip with her husband, according to the Daily Mail. Meghan Markle wasn’t in attendance. Instead, she launched social media posts to promote her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

“Harry’s been skiing with Corey,” a source explained. “They’ve been skiing during the day and going to one of the better-known speakeasies in the evening.”

So, what are Harry and Gamble up to? Royal biographer Angela Levin told The Sun that Harry is likely getting chummy with Jenner’s boyfriend for Meghan’s future benefit. “I’m absolutely sure that Harry has gone on a voyage to be very nice to Corey Gamble, in a job for Meghan, so she would be super well-known and super rich,” Levin explained. “Maybe if they make friends, they might both be invited around and get to know the whole [Kardashian] family.”

Kardashian fans and followers were already aware that Rocky would be the new addition’s name before Barker announced it. Kardashian opted not to discuss the speculation at that point. But clearly, she wasn’t keeping her son’s name a massive secret, either.

Barker also discussed the name during an appearance on GOAT Talk. He insisted the name held special meaning. The baby’s first name is a nod to Rocky George, a guitarist, and Rocky Balboa from the Rocky movies. The baby’s middle name is simply a number Barker likes. Rocky George’s legal first name is Leonard, and the fictional Balboa’s legal first name is Robert.

Kourtney shares her three eldest children, Mason, Penelope, and Reign Disick, with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick. Barker is the father to Alabama and Landon Barker. Rocky is their first child together.

He is now 14.

Robert Kardashian met Kris Jenner when she was still a teen

Robert Kardashian was nearly 30 when he met Kris Jenner, then Kris Houghton. She was just 17. The couple’s relationship didn’t start off well. In fact, Jenner was already involved with someone else when she first hooked up with Kardashian.

Caught cheating, Jenner reportedly went all-in on Kardashian, but he broke up with her to return to his first love, Priscilla Presley. According to Jerry Oppenheimer, Author of The Kardashians: An American Drama, Kardashian and Jenner eventually reunited, but marriage wasn’t immediately on her mind. Kardashian had to propose twice before she agreed to marry him.

They married in 1978, and all was going well until Jenner was caught cheating on Kardashian. The marriage ended in divorce in 1991. Before ending the union, the couple welcomed four children.

Robert Kardashian’s second marriage was annulled

Following his split from Kris Jenner, Robert Kardashian had several significant relationships, including an engagement and an annulled marriage. While he dated Denice Shakarian Halicki after his divorce from Kris Jenner, the relationship ended before they got down the aisle.

He eventually went on to marry two more times. First, he wed Jan Ashley. According to several sources, Robert Kardashian pursued Ashley in 1998 after seeing pictures of the woman. Ashley was a widow when she met the elder Kardashian. They dated for several months in 1998 before marrying in a private ceremony in November of the same year. The marriage only lasted 30 days. They had it annulled.

Robert Kardashian married his third wife months before his death

While his relationship with Ashley was short-lived, it didn’t completely turn the lawyer off to marriage. Following his marriage to Ashley, Kardashian dated a woman named Ellen Pearson. While Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé Kardashian lambasted Robert Kardashian’s widow online and in court documents, the relationship wasn’t as short as the Kardashians claimed.

“I cannot imagine why Harry would want to invite the glare of reality TV into his life,” she told the outlet. “Surely his only purpose in courting the publicity he so despises is to shine a light on the causes he cares about? Why invite more?”

Meanwhile, “Meghan is looking more and more like the TV celeb she is,” the former BBC royal correspondent added. “I think Harry would always be happier in a pair of shorts playing on the beach with his children. But the celeb fame brings opportunities and, crucially, money.”

Harry and Meghan’s estimated net worth since leaving royal life in 2020 is approximately $60 millio, with more potentially on the way if they ink a possible deal with Audible.

The ‘business’ of making a Harry and Meghan cameo on ‘The Kardashians’ happen is ‘in motion’

Sure, at least one royal expert’s warned against appearing on The Kardashians, but it seems the wheels are already “in motion,” as it were. A source previously told Bella magazine Harry and Meghan going on the TV show would be a major get for the Kardashian family.

“Even if it’s just a cameo, that’s a huge win for Kris [Jenner]. The business side is now in motion and looking very lucrative,” they said.

Furthermore, Harry and Meghan are said to run in the same “circle” as the family. “It’s no coincidence that the Kardashians all move in the same circles as Meghan’s new circle,” the source said.

For instance, Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, posed for a photo alongside Kris and Kim Kardashian at an August 2023 charity event. One photo doesn’t a cameo on The Kardashians make. However, it does show indeed the minor degrees of separation between the reality TV family and Harry and Meghan.

At the time of writing, neither Harry and Meghan’s camp nor the Kardashian-Jenner’s have confirmed or denied a possible cameo from the couple.

Claims of Hulu’s The Kardashians using creative editing to keep timelines interesting on the show dominate the newest season of the family reality series. While these tactics are standard on most reality shows, The Kardashians runs the risk of taking things too far and alienating its audience.

Is ‘The Kardashians’ editing video to make storylines more compelling?

Like any reality television show, The Kardashians edit video to take creative license when compiling their scenes. This means that footage shot over several months can be spliced together to create a storyline for one of the series’ lead stars.

It appears the Hulu streamer is edited with footage spanning several nonconsecutive months. This method has been employed throughout all four seasons of The Kardashians. It keeps fans guessing as they search the family’s Instagram accounts for clues as to their whereabouts during filming.

Cosmopolitan used a series of storylines and Instagram photographs to piece together a timeline, which shows that not everything in the series is filmed in chronological order. In fact, much of the filming is done months ahead of the show’s premiere, with more current updates spliced in to make the storylines appear to be present-day.

Therefore, there could be a scene filmed with Kim Kardashian in May. Still, those may be spliced in with segments filled by other family members filmed two months later to support an existing storyline, a common practice for most reality shows.

Kourtney Kardashian spoke out about the show’s editing. She didn’t like how her romance with now-husband Travis Barker was seemingly overshadowed by concerns for her ex, Scott Disick.

“I didn’t even remember it until I saw the cut of the episode. It wasn’t, like, 50 percent of the night like it’s made to be made to be on, like, an episode,” Kourtney said of the creative editing used by producers.

“It’s enabling this old narrative and buying into something that just doesn’t really exist. It should be an empowering episode about me getting out of toxic relationships and really having this, like, fairy tale love story. That is my reality,” she later said in a confessional.

How does Kim Kardashian feel about this type of creative editing during season 4 rewatch?

Past controversies surrounded the Kardashians editing photos posted to social media more than how the reality show was edited. In May 2023, Kim Kardashian appeared on Today and discussed The Kardashians editing.

Kim shared that rewatching the show after filming can sometimes bring up old feuds between the siblings. She claimed there are “different cycles” everyone goes through.

“There’s different cycles,” she said. “You film it, and we think we’re good. Then we make up, and you edit it. Then I’m seeing all the things she’s saying about me behind my back.”

‘The Kardashians’ news in season 4 gets conflicted

After another round of editing, The Kardashians Season 4 hit Hulu on Sept. 28, 2023. The family drama between Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian continues to dominate the series and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

This storyline appears to drive the series’ new season. Kourtney continues to push back at Kim, and she, in return, does the same. In the season’s trailer, Khloé Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner battle over her treatment of Khloé’s ex, Tristan Thompson.

Kourtney’s pregnancy, as does the dating life of sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner, takes center stage. Kylie is linked romantically to Timothée Chalamet, and Kendall is reportedly dating Bad Bunny. Due to rolling filming, these storylines may be featured.

Kim’s American Horror Story debut may also be a focus, as will as Kylie’s reconciliation with Jordyn Woods following the Tristan Thompson cheating scandal of 2019.

Kris Jenner is often credited with helping launch her daughters’ rather lucrative careers. She still has her hands in their careers, serving as a “momager” to her adult children. Her brash attitude has brought the family much fame and fortune, and she’s not afraid to tell everyone exactly what she wants them to do and, apparently, not do. That doesn’t just apply to her kids, either. In a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kris Jenner revealed she forbade her partner, Corey Gamble, from appearing in Yellowstone.

When Kris Jenner says no to an acting role, Corey Gamble listens. In a recent episode of The Kardashians, Gamble told Khloe and Kim that he could have been the next Yellowstone star. He went on to say that he had turned down a role in the series.

After some questioning, Jenner and Gamble revealed that Jenner had asked him to turn down the role because she was uncomfortable with any romance storylines he would have had to act out. Gamble did turn down the part, but it doesn’t sound like Jenner would be willing to do the same for her beau. When questioned, she quickly admitted that she’d have taken on a role in the series if offered.

Gamble didn’t mention what role he was up for in the series. Yellowstone is a family drama that centers around the Dutton family and the massive Montana ranch they own. Season 5 of the series premiered in November 2022. Part 2 of season 5 has yet to be released. A spinoff series is also in development.

How did the couple meet?

Corey Gamble and Kris Jenner have been an item for nearly a decade now. The duo met in 2014 in a pretty serendipitous way. The pair locked eyes at Riccardo Tisci’s birthday party. Both Jenner and Gamble were friends with Tisci and attended the blowout bash in Ibiza.

According to People, they first hooked up in August 2014 but kept things low-key until October 2014, when they were spotted out on the town together. Gamble wasn’t shy about claiming the relationship either. In 2015, he appeared on Keeping Up With the Kardashians for the first time. The couple’s age difference has been a point of discussion over the years. Gamble is 42, while Jenner is 67.

Gamble had a career before hooking up with Jenner, but it did not include acting credits. Gamble was a talent manager before his high-profile romance with the Kardashian family matriarch. He was also a tour manager. Since hooking up with Jenner, Gamble has also added “producer” to his list of jobs and even had a small role in the 2020 movie 2 Minutes of Fame. While Jenner doesn’t seem opposed to Gamble taking on acting roles, the romantic moments, even if it is just acting, will stay between Gamble and Jenner.

Nobody expected the actor and the celebrity to get together, especially considering Chalamet prefers to live outside the limelight. And that’s precisely why fans shouldn’t expect to see Chalamet starring in The Kardashians Season 4.

Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner are going strong with their relationship as The Kardashians Season 4 airs. Jenner split from her long-term on-and-off boyfriend, Travis Scott, in January 2023, and she reportedly met Chalamet the same month. Rumors of a potential relationship between the actor and celebrity started brewing in April 2023. Finally, by September 2023, everyone knew the two were falling in love. Chalamet and Jenner publicly made out at Beyoncé’s birthday concert.

Chalamet and Jenner are getting more comfortable with the idea of showing public affection. That said, it doesn’t look like Chalamet will make any appearances in The Kardashians Season 4. A source said that Chalamet remains careful in presenting himself to the public, as he knows “one dumb mistake” can ruin his career.

“Timothée is very careful with his personal conduct in relationships because one dumb mistake can send everything he’s built down the toilet,” the source, who’s allegedly worked closely with the actor, told The Sun. They also added that Chalamet “has a strong sense of boundaries and is obsessed with managing his reputation.”

“I don’t think he’s going to pop up on the reality show the way some of the other Kardashian suitors have, and I don’t think Kylie has any expectation that he would,” they continued. “It’s not how he rolls.”

‘The Kardashians’ Season 4 executive producer said Timothée Chalamet hasn’t shot any scenes

The Kardashians Season 4 executive producer Ben Winston also verified that Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner won’t be the highlight of this season. Winston told Variety that the show didn’t film any scenes with Chalamet. When asked if he had any plans to include the actor, Winston said, “No comment.”

“Nothing I can say can bring me good things on that,” the executive producer added. “If I say I hope to, then suddenly that’s a headline, and suddenly I don’t get any access. I can’t win on that. So, I can just say that we haven’t filmed anything.”

The actor remains focused on his career

While fans (and many of us writers here at Showbiz Cheat Sheet) are excited to see where Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner’s romance goes, Chalamet remains focused on his career goals. The source who spoke to The Sun verified that Chalamet’s career remains his No. 1 priority despite his budding relationship.

”Timothée has spent the last five years giving everything he had to get on the Hollywood A-list, and now the focus is to do anything he has to stay on it,” the source added. “He’s trying to build a 40 or 50-year career, and the stakes couldn’t be higher for him personally. That’s the thing that he and Kylie have bonded over — these are two incredibly ambitious people who are finally taking some time for their personal lives.”

The Kardashians Season 4 streams new episodes on Thursdays on Hulu.

On Aug. 22, 2023, Khloé uploaded a series of photographs where she and her mother, Kris Jenner, posed in front of a beautiful sunset. She captioned the snap, “Me and my favorite girl.”

One social media user responded to the photograph. They wrote, “Are used to love you so much Chloe [sic] wish you would’ve changed your face.”

They continued, “You’re beautiful just the way you are. I’m kind of getting sick of you all giving young girls bad body images, beauties on the inside, superficial’s on the out.”

Khloé responded, “Then please focus on the inside. Don’t be concerned about the out.”

“You said it yourself, so focus on what matters to you,” she continued. “BTW, I don’t think judging others is healthy for your inside. Just saying. Have a beautiful evening.”

In an episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Kylie Jenner addressed how the family is perceived by their millions of social media followers. She was concerned about the message they sent to the young girls in their family.

During the episode aired on July 20, 2023, Khloé and Kylie shared that those comments made by family members and friends affected how they viewed themselves. Those feelings ultimately led them to change their bodies drastically.

Kylie did admit the Kardashian women’s influence has affected the beauty standards of others. “I think I just see so many young girls on the internet now fully editing [themselves],” Kylie said.

“I went through that stage, too, and I feel in a better place. But other people can instill insecurities in you.” Khloé responded that all of her insecurities are “from other people.”

Khloé elaborated on her belief that her insecurities stemmed from other people’s comments and cited her mother, Kris Jenner, as why she wanted surgery. She admits to having her nose fixed.

She said, “Who knows if I never heard mom talk about my nose if I would ever think I needed a nose job?” Kourtney agreed with her sister, saying that she, too, heard Kris talk about her daughter’s nose.

Kylie responded she hated her ears growing up because she believed her family always talked about them. “I received it like everyone was making fun of my ears. That f***** me up,” she claims.

However, she has since changed her tune after becoming a mother to a daughter, Stormi, and a son, Aire. She says, “She has my ears, and it made me realize how much I loved them. I think my daughter is the most beautiful thing ever.”
