Jenelle Evans is returning to Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. Ensley Eason won’t be appearing if David Eason has anything to say about it, though. Evans’ estranged husband reportedly will not permit the only child he shares with Evans to appear on screen, but Evans’ other two children are reportedly cleared to appear.

David Eason is reportedly preventing Ensley Eason from appearing on ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’

Jenelle Evans is all-in on her return to the Teen Mom franchise, but her young daughter apparently won’t be along for the ride. An insider spoke to the U.S. Sun and revealed that David Eason has refused to sign off on Ensley appearing on the show. The insider claims MTV contacted Eason for permission to film Ensley, and he told them he would not be signing off on her appearance on the series.

Eason and Evans have not yet filed for divorce or agreed on a child custody arrangement. Still, there is apparently an open custody case. Ensley appeared briefly on Teen Mom 2 while Eason and Evans were in a relationship. Eason also appeared on the show but was fired after increasingly menacing behavior. MTV parted ways with Evans in 2019 and only invited her back after she separated from David Eason in February 2024.

If Eason did refuse to allow Ensley to appear on the series, fans are unlikely to hear about it from him anytime soon. Eason spent the early part of his separation airing his grievances about Evans on TikTok. He can no longer talk about her. An order of protection prevents him from speaking about her on social media for six months. Evans would need to return to court to extend the order.

Jenelle Evans’ other children will reportedly appear in ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’

While sources insist Eason has put a stop to Ensley appearing on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Jenelle Evans’ other two children apparently have a green light to appear on the show. Before marrying Eason and welcoming Ensley, Evans welcomed her son, Kaiser Griffith with Nathan Griffith. Before that, she had a son, Jace Evans, with her high school boyfriend, Andrew Lewis.

Neither Griffith nor Lewis have spoken publicly about Evans’ return to the series. Still, they are both reportedly fine with their sons appearing on the show. According to the source that spoke with the U.S. Son, both Jace Evans and Kaiser will appear in Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. MTV allegedly spoke with both fathers. Lewis seems to be forging a relationship with his teen son now after being mostly absent from his life until recent months. He does not have any legal rights to Jace, though.

Nathan Griffith was actively involved with Kaiser until the last few years. He recently revealed that he has not been in contact with Kaiser and is not in a place to help. Griffith has had a host of legal and medical issues in recent years. According to the insider, Despite his lack of involvement with Kaiser, Griffith was contacted by MTV. Griffith is allegedly open to Kaiser appearing on camera as long as he is properly compensated and his money is protected.
