Jenelle Evans Could Be Headed for Trouble With Jace Because of Her Move to Las Vegas
Jenelle Evans might have gotten her MTV job back, but Teen Mom: The Next Chapter fans don’t think much else has changed for Evans. In recent episodes, Evans unveiled her plans to move from North Carolina to Las Vegas, partly to be closer to her manager-turned-love interest, August Keen. While the move is reportedly underway, the whole family isn’t thrilled about it. Jace Evans is allegedly against the idea of leaving his East Coast home.
An insider claims Jace Evans is angry about moving out of North Carolina
Jenelle Evans insists she and her kids need a fresh start, but at least one of her children doesn’t think they need to move to get that. An insider who spoke to the U.S. Sun said that moving hasn’t gone over well with Evans’ eldest child, Jace Evans. According to the insider, Jace dislikes Las Vegas and does not want to live in the city. Reportedly, the teen is especially upset that he’ll be forced to leave his childhood friends back in North Carolina just when he was reestablished in a routine.
Jace was removed from Evans’ home just months after Barbara Evans agreed to sign custody of the teen over to her troubled daughter. Jace was removed from the house after David Eason, Evans’ soon-to-be-ex, assaulted him. He spent several months in the care of a court-appointed guardian. Eason has since moved off the property, and Jace has returned to his mother’s house. Eason is not Jace’s biological father.
Las Vegas wasn’t the first destination she considered
While Jenelle Evans appears all-in on moving to Las Vegas now, followers familiar with her sometimes erratic behavior have concerns. Namely, they worry about Evans’ plan to uproot her children, especially Jace, just as things are quieting down. In a moment of clarity, Jenelle Evans even expressed some concern about how Jace will handle the move. She noted the teen would be attending his fourth high school in a year.
They are also concerned that she hasn’t actually thought through the situation. Las Vegas isn’t the first destination Evans considered moving to. She briefly considered setting down roots in Florida. While a move to the Sunshine State would still take Jace away from his friends and place him in a new environment, it wouldn’t have been nearly as far. The move, fans argue, seems rushed and poorly planned.
Barbara Evans, Jenelle Evans’ mother, spent the first 14 years of Jace’s life raising him. While she agreed to sign over custody of the teen to Jenelle, she remained close to the teen. She has yet to comment on her daughter’s cross-country move.
