‘DWTS’ judges were divided on who to save during Halloween Night

Based on the judges’ scores and fan votes, Sparks and the eldest D’Amelio were in the bottom two during last night’s Halloween episode. Carrie Ann Inaba and Derek Hough chose to save Sparks and her partner Brandon Armstrong. Meanwhile, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman elected to save D’Amelio and Artem Chigvintsev. Because the judges were split in their decision, Goodman’s vote meant D’Amelio was safe.

After seeing Sparks get eliminated from DWTS Season 31, many fans took to the internet to express themselves. “You’ll be missed, Jordin!” said one Redditor. Another Reddit user didn’t think Sparks’ elimination was fair, criticizing the way tie-breakers are handled among the judges.

“Not fair at all,” they commented. “That head judge tie-breaker BS needs to go as of now!!! If there’s a tie then the VIEWERS VOTES need to break it. Hell, they harp so much on us voting but ain’t using it to help.”

Still, others were impressed by Sparks’ humble exit. She left the competition with a smile, another thing that left many fans swooning over her. “Thanks DWTS for reminding me how wonderful Jordin Sparks is,” said another Reddit user.

“Jordin Sparks is so humble,” yet another Reddit user commented. “What a class act and way to go out, super classy of her — I’m so impressed by her gratitude each week.”

Vinny Guadagnino ‘needs to go home’ according to some ‘Dancing with the Stars’ viewers

Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino and his partner Koko Iwasaki live to see another week of Dancing with the Stars Season 31. Guadagnino’s scores from the judges aren’t on par with the rest of the competition, but he has Jersey Shore: Family Vacation fans rooting for him in the votes.

Some viewers are displeased that he’s still in the competition. “Listen, on a personal level, I like Vinny as much as the next guy,” wrote a Reddit user. “But how — HOW has he consistently been at the bottom and keeps escaping the final two?” They admit he has improved since the competition started, but say he is “LEAGUES below the other dancers’ skill level at this point.”

Vinny Guadagnino will miss Jordin Sparks, too

Like many Dancing with the Stars viewers, Guadagnino was sad to see Sparks go. “[Jordin Sparks] is proof that angels exist,” he wrote in his Instagram Stories over a photo of himself with the singer. “Hard to find a nicer human. [Love] you.”

Tyra Banks made a few slip-ups with celebrity names during Dancing with the Stars Season 31’s Disney Night. The host of the Disney+ series profusely apologized for calling contestant Charli D’Amelio’s boyfriend by the wrong name. However, that didn’t stop the wife of one DWTS pro from calling Banks out on Twitter for mispronouncing his last name. It also didn’t stop another celebrity competitor from correcting Alfonso Ribeiro’s name error. Here’s what happened.

Tyra Banks messes up Charli D’Amelio’s boyfriend’s name (again)

In last week’s episode of Dancing with the Stars, the TikTok star’s boyfriend was in the audience cheering her on. D’Amelio and Landon Barker, son of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, made their relationship Instagram official in July 2022. He was in the audience with his dad and step-mother Kourtney Kardashian last week; this week, Landon was in the ballroom once again. And once again, Banks called him Logan.

After D’Amelio’s performance to The Simpsons’ theme song, Banks addressed her mistake. “Now Charli, last week I called your boyfriend Landon Barker and his name is Logan …”

D’Amelio pantomimed switching the names around with her hands. “I just said it backward again. What is wrong with me with this?”

“Tyra messing up poor Landon Barker’s name again,” a viewer shared on Reddit. “If anything she’s consistent!”

Fortunately, Barker didn’t take Banks’ misstep to heart. He was seen laughing in the audience.

Barker’s first name isn’t the only name Banks struggled with last night. “Tyra it’s CHIGvintsev lol N,” Artem Chigvintsev’s wife Nikki Bella tweeted during the episode.

“Don’t eff with a WWE wrestler’s husband Tyra,” one fan said on Reddit. “Why can she not just practice it?” another DWTS fan commented. “It’s not that hard to say if you get use to it, but Tyra just gets it wrong every week and doesn’t care.”

Regardless of what some have said about Banks as host, most fans found the moment hilarious, especially considering when the mispronunciation took place. “The timing was so comedic because she did this right after apologizing for getting Charli’s boyfriend’s name wrong,” wrote another fan in the Reddit thread.

Alfonso Ribeiro also messed up a ‘DWTS’ contestants name this season

Banks’ Dancing with the Stars co-host Alfonso Ribeiro also made a mistake with a contestant’s name. He previously called drag queen superstar Shangela “Angela,” which she called him out for after her Disney Night performance. “The real question is did you learn my name,” Shangela asked Ribeiro before receiving her scores.

Ribeiro justified calling the RuPaul’s Drag Race celebrity “Angela” by saying it was his wife’s name. “It was a term of endearment,” he told Shangela. “You know I love you baby, and you are my Alfondo,” she replied jokingly.

“If @alfonso_ribeiro gets Shangela’s name wrong a third time I hope she starts calling him Carlton,” tweeted one fan. Like Barker, Shangela can laugh at the slight mistake.

Who went home on ‘Dancing with the Stars’?

At the end of Disney night, GMA celebrity Sam Champion and actor Trevor Donovan were in the bottom two. Ultimately, the judges unanimously agreed to save Donovan and his partner Emma Slater. Champion and Cheryl Burke were eliminated from the competition.

Will the Sanderson Sisters run amok (amok, amok, amok, amok) in Salem once again? The post-credits scene in Disney+‘s Hocus Pocus 2 seems to indicate so. Many people are wondering about the potential for Hocus Pocus 3 after the sequel’s final scene seemingly set up another return for Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sanderson. But is the franchise better left alone? Showbiz Cheat Sheet took to Instagram to see what fans had to say.

Is there an after-credits scene in ‘Hocus Pocus 2’?

Hocus Pocus 2 takes place 29 years after the events of 1993’s Hocus Pocus, which saw Winifred (Bette Midler), Mary (Kathy Najimy), and Sarah Sanderson (Sarah Jessica Parker) resurrected by the Black Flame Candle. The sequel provides an origin story for the witches and sees them resurrected once again, this time by Salem teens Becca (Whitney Peak) and Izzy (Belissa Escobedo). The Sanderson Sisters hope to use the dangerous Magicae Maxima spell to gain more power and seek revenge on Salem.

After a long night of trying to outsmart the witches, Becca discovers that she has magical powers, too. The Magicae Maxima spell sends Mary and Sarah to the afterlife, and Becca uses a reunification spell to send Winifred there, too. She forms a new coven with Izzy and their estranged friend, Cassie (Lilia Buckingham). The story is wrapped in a neat bow — or is it?

In the post-credits scene of Hocus Pocus 2, magic shop owner Gilbert’s (Sam Richardson) black cat, Cobweb, jumps onto a shelf. The camera zooms into a box beside Cobweb that reads, “B.F. CANDLE #2.” This means there’s yet another Black Flame Candle that someone could accidentally (or intentionally) light to bring the Sanderson Sisters back again.

Reboots and long-overdue sequels can be hit or miss. Hocus Pocus 2 turned out to be a hit, becoming Disney+’s top movie debut in the U.S. to date. But can magic strike a third time? More importantly, should it? We asked fans if they wanted to see another Hocus Pocus film, and the responses were mixed. Some said the franchise is already too good for a threequel.

“No thank you. Just leave it as is! The original is a classic. No need,” one fan commented on our Instagram post.

“No. After that ending, another sequel just wouldn’t be the same,” another user added.

Meanwhile, others said the post-credits scene in Hocus Pocus 2 left them feeling eager to see Hocus Pocus 3 or another form of revival, like a show. Some fans thought a prequel would be a great idea, or an even longer third film. Above all else, fans said they’d want to see more of the original characters/cast members.

“My answer… no. Buuuuut, if they bring back Max [Omri Katz], Allison [Vinessa Shaw], and Dani [Thora Birch], too, along with the Sanderson Sisters… sure. Why not?” one fan added.

“ALL of them team up together against the solo witch from when the Sanderson Sisters were young!!” another user said, referencing Hannah Waddingham’s Mother Witch in Hocus Pocus 2.

Will there be a ‘Hocus Pocus 3’?

Disney+ hasn’t confirmed Hocus Pocus 3 yet. However, the Sanderson Sisters themselves have expressed interest in doing a third movie. In an interview with Extra, Parker said Midler is “already starting rumors” about Hocus Pocus 3. And if Midler wants to do the film, Parker would also join the cast.

“I hitch my wagon to her star. If she wants to do a third one … No one says no to the Divine Miss M,” she said.

Meanwhile, Najimy gave a classic response: “Never say never.”

“It was fun, but it’s not nothing. It’s a lot, but who knows?” she told People. “Who knew that almost 30 years later we’d be doing this sequel? I think if we did it 30 years later again, well, there would be walkers and canes involved. The flying might just be a little one-foot blip off the ground.”

‘Dancing with the Stars’ is celebrating 60 Years of James Bond

On Oct. 3, the Dancing with the Stars Season 31 cast will pay tribute to James Bond. Each couple will perform to a song from James Bond films like Casino Royale, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Die, and For Your Eyes Only. What’s more, we’ll also see two new dance styles: the Argentine Tango and the Samba.

Some fans are displeased with the repetitiveness of theme nights

Dancing with the Stars fans have expressed their distaste for the show’s theme nights, which take place every week. As for James Bond night, one fan thinks there are “too many Rumbas” (via Reddit). “This is why theme nights don’t work,” they pointed out. More than half of the dances performed on Oct. 3 will be Rumbas.

“Theme nights can work if they are the right theme night,” points out another Reddit user. “Elvis wasn’t a terrible theme night, but maybe would have been better later in the season when there weren’t so many couples (so we didn’t get so many jives and quicksteps). Likewise, Bond night could have worked with fewer couples.”

In reality, these theme nights help the show stick to its roots. When Dancing with the Stars first started, the dances were even more limited, with every couple performing one of two styles in any given week. “Way back when week one was ONLY cha-cha or foxtrot, week two was mambo or quickstep, week three was jive or tango, etc.,” pointed out another Redditor. “They used that formula for YEARS.”

‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 31 has even more theme nights in store

Showrunner Conrad Green, who returns to the ballroom in season 31, teased the upcoming theme nights to Entertainment Weekly. For example, the music of Michael Bublé will inspire the dances on Oct. 24. Bublé is also expected to sit on the judges’ panel and perform.

“Michael performed on the show years ago, and he’s a brilliant guy,” Green said. “He’s a really good friend of Derek’s [Hough], and it’s probably their friendship that has finally got him to come and give us a whole night of his music and judge along.”

Of course, season 31 will also feature the signature Dancing with the Stars Disney Night. However, there will be one significant change to Disney Night this season. “They will be doing a Disney+ night, not [just] Disney,” Green explained. “Which is great because it means you’ve got this incredible catalog to look at. Everything from Marvel to Disney Pixar, all of the animated films, all of their live-action films. There’s such a range.”

Dancing with the Stars Season 31 continued with an Elvis theme night for week 2 of the competition. From the beginning, we’ve predicted Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star Vinny Guadagnino could win the Mirrorball this season. However, many fans feel differently about who will be crowned the champion.

Since week 1, many could see Wayne Brady winning season 31 of DWTS. That remains true after week 2. Find out how Brady’s competition’s odds stack up, plus which celebrity cast members improved the most over a week and who was sent home during Elvis night.

Vinny Guadagnino and Trevor Donovan win for most improved performances during Elvis Night

Jersey Shore star Guadagnino and actor Trevor Donovan had a rough start to Dancing with the Stars Season 31. Despite his fear of dancing, Donovan and Emma Slater performed a quickstep to “Dancing with Myself” by Billy Idol and earned 21 points. Meanwhile, Guadagnino and Koko Iwasaki were at the bottom of the leaderboard in 16th place, scoring 17 out of 40.

Both celebrities improved significantly over the course of a week. Donovan’s steamy rhumba with Slater earned them a score of 30 and left many DWTS wondering if the chemistry between them was real or fake. Guadagnino also received a higher score of 27 in week 2 — up 10 points from his week 1 scores.

Wayne Brady is still predicted to win ‘Dancing with the Stars’ after week 2

Brady and his partner Witney Carson tied with Charli D’Amelio for first place in week 2 of Dancing with the Stars. In week 2, all four judges gave the duo 8s for their performance to “Burnin’ Love,” landing them 32 out of 40 points. Brady once again sat at the top of the leader board, tied with D’Amelio and Gabby Windey at the end of the night.

As a result, he’s also at the top of Gold Derby’s fan prediction leader board. Many think he and Carson can take home the Mirrorball at the end of DWTS Season 31. His odds have shifted 17:5 since last week’s predictions.

Teresa Giudice went home in ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Week 2

Real Housewives star Teresa Giudice performed to “All Shook Up” with her partner Pasha Pashkov, earning a 23 out of 40 for the night. Bachelor scoop: Reality Steve thinks Zach is the next star of ‘The Bachelor’

Zach was one of Rachel’s final three, but part one of The Bachelorette finale showed the end of their relationship. After Zach expressed his doubts from his Fantasy Suites date to Bachelorette host Jesse Palmer, Zach pulled Rachel aside before the rose ceremony with Aven Jones and Tino Franco.

“To be honest, I thought that what I was seeing wasn’t the real Rachel,” he told the Bachelorette. “I felt like I was seeing Bachelorette Rachel, not the real Rachel that I’d come to know and love. … I did really love you. You know, I saw a future with you. But, I need to go.”

Some of Bachelor Nation was sad to see Zach leave Rachel behind, but according to spoiler king Reality Steve, Zach is likely to return in the next season of The Bachelor. “(SPOILER): As we know plans can always change last minute, and it won’t be ‘official’ until next Tuesday on the ATFR, but I feel confident in reporting that the next Bachelor is going to be Zach Shallcross,” Reality Steve tweeted on Sept. 14, 2022.

Since Zach isn’t among the men from Gabby and Rachel’s season in the cast of Bachelor in Paradise, it makes sense that he would become the lead in The Bachelor 2023.

‘The Bachelor’ casting isn’t sitting well with fans

Many viewers commented on Reality Steve’s tweet to express their disinterest in seeing Zach as the next Bachelor. “OMG!! Why do they have these men on who cannot commit?” said one Twitter user. “Let’s change the name of the show to ‘Dating Bachelor No Commitment Show.’ I am going to stop watching. This is not a show worth my time watching.”

Another tweet reads: “While I like Zach, I was hoping for Aven or Ethan from this season or Mike Johnson.”

Another tweet from Bachelor Nation points out: “Why!? He wasn’t ready for engagement because it moved quickly….yet now he is ready because he gets to be the front runner? So distasteful [in my opinion.]”

‘After the Final Rose’ will confirm if Zach Shallcross is the next Bachelor or not

Fans in Bachelor Nation who want to know have already read the spoilers for Gabby and Rachel’s season. However, according to Palmer’s announcement, the finale will be “one of the most shocking.”

“Look, I know you’re all expecting to watch the end of that dramatic rose ceremony in Mexico right now,” Palmer said at the end of last night’s episode. “I know you’re all anxious and eager to find out what happens next but unfortunately, you’re not going to see that tonight and I’m very, very sorry for that.”

Palmer’s announcement continued: “Things have just been emotional. They’ve been so dramatic for Gabby and Rachel that we felt it was right to take a moment and to prepare ourselves for the shocking events that are about to take place. Events that are going to change both Rachel’s and Gabby’s lives forever.”

Next week, fans will get to see “the most emotional finale in Bachelorette history” live from Los Angeles. All of the drama will be addressed from the season and we will allegedly get to witness a “crazy controversy.”

‘The Bachelorette’s next two episodes won’t be shocking according to fans

Many fans of The Bachelorette are desensitized at this point. No matter how many times the franchise promises a shocking finale, they rarely seem to deliver.

“If it is going to be live next week, then HOW does Jesse know that it will be the most emotional and shocking finale ever?” one viewer tweeted. “SO TIRED of being told this before every show and [for] it NEVER [to] be true.”

Another viewer feels similarly, tweeting: “Kinda wild that #TheBachelorette ended with Jesse in some bunker or aircraft hangar being like, ‘We know you want the rest of the episode but instead you need to put your affairs in order and … prepare yourself for some dumb dude being dumb.”

Alone fans have a deep appreciation for those who can manage to survive in the wilderness for extended periods of time. However, that translates past the reality tv show itself and into real life. A recent news story revealed a man who managed to survive in total isolation for 26 years, and Alone fans are in absolute astonishment of him.

According to BBC, the last surviving member of an “uncontacted indigenous group” in Brazil died. They didn’t know his name, but they note that he managed to survive for a total of 26 years in “total isolation.”

The media is calling him “Man of the Hole” because of his ability to dig deep holes for trapping animals and hiding from other humans. He was found dead on Aug. 23 inside of his hammock outside of a straw hut that he constructed. Law enforcement believes that he dies from natural causes at around 60 years old, as there were no signs of violence at the location.

Ranchers allegedly killed the majority of his tribe in the 1970s when they sought to expand their territory. However, most of the remaining few survivors died in 1995 at the hands of “illegal miners.” As a result,

Alone fans took to Reddit to talk about the incredible feat of a man surviving in total isolation for 26 years. They reveled in the fact that he managed to truly survive in nature, even when he was entirely alone. However, they also pointed out how tragic his story was because all of those in his tribe died, leaving him to face life all alone.

“Imagine the life of anxiety this guy must have led,” one Redditor wrote. “Hiding from all other people for 26 years after a group of ranchers murdered his family in order to take their land.”

Another user wrote: “People suck. Ranchers killing over land grabs 30-40 years ago. And only stopped by the feds from continuing the land grab. S***, when I was born this guy’s remaining family and the only people he ever knew were killed for no comprehensible reason to him.”

Alone fans always love to see how long the contestants are able to survive in total isolation. Unlike the “Man of the Hole,” these folks didn’t grow up in nature in quite the same way. Nevertheless, they all fight to overcome nature’s greatest hardships to win their season.

Season 7 featured Roland Welker, who currently holds the longest record for anyone on the flagship series. He lasted 100 days, beating out Callie Russell, who left after 89 days due to frostbite. Alone fans recognize that anybody who has the ability to survive so long among the harsh nature away from society deserves their title and recognition. The 26 years that the “Man of the Hole” lasted in total isolation is incredible, even if they were under horrible circumstances.

Overlord Season 4 Episode 5 has the appropriate title of “In Pursuit of the Land of the Dwarves,” introducing a new arc that will include the Dwarf Kingdom. Anime lead Ainz Ooal Gown previously used Shalltear as a chair as a means of punishment, but the other floor guardians didn’t necessarily forget about that. Overlord Season 4 Episode 5 finds Ainz with the question of who is the better chair – Shalltear or Cocytus?

Overlord Season 4 Episode 5 makes it clear that something ominous is rising on the horizon. Albedo and Demiurge are left to their own devices while Ainz is traveling to the Dwarf Kingdom for further advantages. However, he’s about to witness the kingdom’s issues for himself, and he’ll have to decide whether to keep his cards close to his chest or not.

Shalltear and Cocytus are often underutilized in the show, but this episode allows them to blossom in their own light. They both continue with their goal to impress Ainz, although Cocytus is embarrassed when one of his units questions one of Ainz’s decisions. As a result, he gets on all fours to offer the lead character a seat as his own punishment. Overlord finds Cocytus asking Ainz if he’s a better chair than Shalltear, although the question confuses him.

The Overlord Reddit directly argued who they believe is the better chair between Shalltear and Cocytus. The image imagines each of the characters deconstructed into the shape of chairs and descriptors for each of them. However, it firmly sides with the notion that Cocytus is the better Overlord chair, and the comments support that statement.

For Shalltear, the post summarizes that she’s undead, loud, distracting, and didn’t offer to be a seat. Meanwhile, Cocytus’ summary describes him as quiet, respectful, having cooling functions, and offered himself as a seat without Ainz asking.

One Redditor alluded to the fact that Ainz has cold resistance, but he doesn’t have “cringe immunity” – Cocytus is therefore the winner.

Other comments believe that the post is hilarious and have no idea what they’re even looking at. However, several Redditors explained how other floor guardians could make for a better chair in Overlord, such as Albedo.

When does episode 6 air?

Overlord made it clear that the chair punishment is a recurring meme. Therefore, it’s possible that audiences could see this joke reemerge in future episodes. However, Overlord Season 4 Episode 6 will clearly continue the Dwarf Kingdom arc, as things could potentially start getting very serious soon.

Episode 6 will hit Crunchyroll on Aug. 9, but it will release at different times depending on the given timezone. It will be available starting at 6 a.m. PT or 9 a.m. ET.

Gene Takavic (Bob Odenkirk) is looking for his fictitious dog Nippy in Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 10. In reality, he’s laying the groundwork for a con he’ll later pull off with Jeff (Pat Healy), but first he has to befriend his mother Marion (Carol Burnett). Gene catches Marion’s attention with flyers he’s posting in search of the “missing dog.” After seeing it in the episode, some Better Call Saul fans dialed the number — here’s what they heard.

The department store con in ‘Better Call Saul’ episode ‘Nippy’

As Odenkirk teased ahead of the episode, “another iteration of Jimmy” would appear in the final season of Better Call Saul. That version was the Gene/Jimmy hybrid that appeared in episode 10.

After Jeff recognized Gene as Saul Goodman, Gene had to do something to protect his new identity. So, he convinced Jeff to participate in a con complete with a “mutually assured destruction” fail-safe.

Gene measured the layout of the department store, mapped out where products were, befriended the mall security, and came up with an elaborate rhyme — “One, Armani suits and run. Two, Air Jordan shoes for you” — so Jeff could efficiently complete the con. Only one small snag occurred when Jeff slipped on the newly-waxed floor. Leave it to Gene to quickly recover from the minor mishap. He kept Frank (Parks and Rec’s Jim O’Heir) distracted by telling him about the very-real loss he had been through.

Gene Takavic’s cell phone voicemail is about Nippy the dog

In Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 10, Gene hangs flyers with details about his missing dog when he conveniently runs into Marion, who gets stuck in the snow. Eagle-eyed fans noticed the cell phone number on the flyers — 402-342-9288.

When you dial the number, you get Gene’s voicemail. “You’ve reached Gene Takavic,” the outgoing message begins. “If you’re calling this number, you may have come across my flyer or, better yet, a very friendly fluff-ball named Nippy.”

Gene continues describing the fake dog: “He’s a Pomeranian, four years old on Halloween, light-brown with a big white chest and little white paws. Oh, six pounds. Well, seven after having his way with a peanut butter jar. He was last seen on Clementine and South 35th, probably going after an alley cat or a squeaky ball. He can be a tad shy at first, but he warms up fast, especially if you have a T-R-E-A-T. When he gets excited, he makes these tiny snorting noises, almost like a sneeze. At the end of the day, he’s just a cuddle-bug who loves to snuggle on the couch underneath his favorite blankie.”

The voicemail concludes: “It breaks my heart to think of sweet Nippy wandering the street hungry and cold. If you have any leads — any at all — please share at the beep. And spread the word if you can. Nippy and I would be fur-ever grateful.”

‘Better Call Saul’ Season 6 only has three episodes left

Episode 11 “Breaking Bad” will air on Aug. 1, 2022. The titles of the final two episodes of Better Call Saul have not been announced yet, but they’ll air Aug. 8 and Aug. 15.
