The couple first met in 2002 on the set of the film Gigli. They dated for a while and got engaged but after 18 months, they called it quits. Before Lopez, Affleck was married to Jennifer Garner. They announced their separation in 2015 after 10 years together and officially filed for divorce in April 2017. They share three children Violet, Fin, and Samuel.
Affleck then began seeing Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus. They broke up for a bit in 2018 before rekindling their romance in 2019 but it didn’t last.
A source gave the reason for their split at the time saying: “She has a kid and an ex-husband and a job in New York and Ben has his family and a job in L.A., and while they love and respect each other, they just realized it wasn’t going to work.They really gave it another solid try.”
